Privacy declaration
Article 1 – General
Soek. Atelier respects the privacy of all users of its site and ensures that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially. We use your details to process orders as quickly and easily as possible. Otherwise, we will use this information only with your consent.
Soek. Atelier uses the collected data to provide its customers with the following services:
- When you place an order, we need your name, email address and delivery address to prepare an invoice, process your order and keep you informed of its progress.
- Payment for your order is made via Ideal, Pay Pal or directly by bank transfer with KNAB (except for pay-on-collection (at home or at a market/event), where payment is made in cash or via Izettle).
- For payment via Ideal, your name and payment details are required. Payment is made through the secure environment of your own bank.
- Payment via KNAB is made through the secure environment of KNAB.
- Payment via Pay Pal is made through the secure environment of Pay Pal.
- Payment via Izettle is made via a card reader.
- For the newsletter, you must always sign up yourself and give permission for the newsletter to be sent. When signing up, you will be asked for your first name and email address. If you have signed up for the newsletter, you will receive the newsletter at least 4 times, containing information, discounts, fun updates and extras about Soek. Atelier.
- Data about the use of the site and the feedback we receive from visitors help us further develop and improve the site. You can provide feedback by sending an email to info@soek-atelier.nl.
- If you respond to a promotion or competition, we ask for your name and email address. We need this information to carry out the promotion, announce the winner(s) and measure the response to the marketing campaigns. We also need address details to send prizes to the winners or any promotional products.
- For advertising on Facebook and Instagram, we use the data (country, gender, age) known about you by Facebook and Instagram. This data helps us show the ad to the people for whom our products are of interest. This data is general and cannot be traced back to you as a person.
Article 2 - Cooperation with third parties
Soek. Atelier works with the following parties:
- PostNL receives your name, address details and email address to deliver the parcel to you. PostNL uses the data only for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties. https://www.postnl.nl/privacy-verklaring/
- Shopify is the host of this webshop. All data that you provide via our webshop is stored on Shopify's servers. Shopify has applied the necessary security technologies and under the processing agreement it is forbidden to inspect or provide data to third parties unless they are required to do so by law.
- Shopify is not only the host of our webshop but also the service provider for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your data and ours as much as possible. Shopify has no access to our inbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
- Shopify is used to send our email newsletters. Shopify will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. You will then never receive our newsletter again. The personal data is stored securely by Shopify. Shopify uses cookies and other technologies that show whether emails are opened and read. Shopify reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, share information with third parties.

Using cookies, I ensure, among other things, that when you visit the website you do not keep receiving or entering the same information. Article 4 - For what specific purpose does this website place cookies?
This website places cookies for the following reasons:
Shopping cart (functional): Remembering which products are in your shopping cart. Without this cookie, you cannot order products or place them in your shopping cart.
Cookie choice (functional): Remembering whether you have given us permission to place cookies.
Article 5 - How can I manage or delete cookies?

Article 6 - Soek. Atelier does not sell your data
Soek. Atelier will never sell your personal data to third parties and will only make it available to third parties involved in processing your order. Any third parties engaged by us are also obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.
Article 7 - Retention of personal data
Data provided for processing an order, promotion or competition will be kept for a maximum of 7 years. If you have signed up for the newsletter, this data will be kept until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Article 8 - Accessing your data
You always have the right to request, correct and/or delete the personal data stored by Soek. Atelier. To do so, send an email with your request to info@soek-atelier.nl. You can also contact us via this email if you wish to object to the processing of your personal data.
If you have signed up for the newsletter and no longer wish to receive it, you can always unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter. Every newsletter also contains a link to review and correct your personal data.
Article 9 - Personal Data Authority
The Personal Data Authority (AP) monitors compliance with privacy legislation. Do you have a complaint about the use of your personal data by Soek. Atelier and cannot resolve it with us? Then you can contact the Personal Data Authority.
Article 10 - Data breach notification
As of 1 January 2016, as an online retailer we are required to report data breaches to the personal data authority. A data breach is a security incident in which personal data is accessed, destroyed, altered or released without this being intended. In the event of a data breach, personal data must have been lost or unlawful processing of personal data must not be ruled out. In the event of such a data breach, we will also inform our customers by email.
