14 karat gold and 925 silver are an alloy. These alloys are made by mixing pure gold and pure silver with copper, which we use specifically for our gold and silver jewelry. This "base metal" is added to make jewelry stronger and more durable. You simply cannot make jewelry from pure gold and pure silver, as they are far too soft and not scratch-resistant. The most common allergy trigger is nickel, which is sometimes still used in alloys. Soek Atelier does not use nickel, so you can be confident that there is only a very small chance of having an allergic reaction.

Here’s how you can easily mix and match your personal ear party!

I’ll share 2 examples of how to measure your ring size.

You can measure your ring size using a ring that already fits and a ruler.

Lay a well-fitting ring that you own, or one for someone you’re buying a ring for, on the ruler.

Check how many millimeters the ruler shows along the inside of the ring. For example, if this measurement is 18 millimeters, your ring size is 18. So once you know the diameter, you know your size.

You can also measure your ring size using a piece of string and a ruler.

Wrap a piece of string around the finger you want to measure.

Mark the point on the string where the two ends meet.

Measure the marked length of the string with a ruler and note the measurement in millimeters.

You’ll now know the circumference of your finger. Use the chart below to calculate your ring size.

Tips!

If you’re unsure between two sizes, go with the larger one.

Your finger size can be affected by temperature and other factors, so we recommend measuring at room temperature.

Soek Atelier creates the most delicate earrings made from just 0.8 mm thick silver or gold wire. Other jewelry ranges between 1 mm and 1.5 mm in wire thickness. You should handle the jewelry with care. I advise against sleeping, exercising, and showering while wearing the jewelry to preserve both the shine of the silver and gold, and the shape of the pieces.

To enjoy your jewelry for as long as possible, it’s important to care for it properly. Silver and gold stay beautiful longer if they do not come into contact with chemicals. Therefore, avoid hairspray, perfume, body lotion, and dish soap while wearing your jewelry. Store your jewelry in a dark and dry place, for example in a box or pouch.

Precious metals can tarnish due to dirt, chemicals, or improper storage. Annoying but solvable! Polish your jewelry to make it shiny again. You can do this, for example, with a polishing cloth, available in the webshop.

• Send the items back in a suitable, sturdy package that includes the return form. 
• All items may be returned within 14 days of receipt. Following this, the full purchase amount minus shipping costs will be transferred. Refunds can only be issued to the account used for the original payment.
• Return shipping costs and responsibility are your own. I recommend sending your return with a Track and Trace code — if you do not and the shipment is lost, this is not my responsibility.

If you discover visible defects immediately upon receiving the product, you must report this directly to Soek. Atelier via info@soek-atelier.nl no later than 5 days after the item is delivered to you. If this 5-day deadline is exceeded, any and all claims against Soek. Atelier will be forfeited.
